When partnering with your family to know, love, and follow Jesus, we strive to create and share content filtered by the Head-Heart-Hands model.
Head: the knowledge of God and His Word | Heart: the personal connection from scripture | Hands: a missional mindset
HEAD
In 2 Peter Chapter 1, Peter addresses the believers and reminds them of the abundant blessings and promises of God. He encourages the readers to grow in their faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
HEART
Reflecting on Peter's words, we can find comfort and assurance in knowing that through our faith in Jesus, we become part of God's family. Regardless of our background or ethnicity, God calls us and welcomes us into His loving embrace. Just as Peter emphasizes, our identity as children of God is unchanging and secure. In times of doubt or confusion, it is important for us to remind ourselves that we can trust in God's unfailing plan for our lives.
HANDS
Recognizing our belonging to God's family should inspire us to extend love and kindness to all whom we encounter. Just as Jesus accepted and befriended people from all walks of life, we too are called to show the same compassion. Let us be attentive to the needs of others, offering a smile, a word of encouragement, or a helping hand to those who are hurting or feeling alone. By doing so, we demonstrate the love of God that is in our hearts.
Prayer: God, We thank You for the love You have for us. I pray that today we are reminded of that and live from that promise! May the love You have for us pour out to others around us today. It’s in Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
