When partnering with your family to know, love, and follow Jesus, we strive to create and share content filtered by the Head-Heart-Hands model.

Head: the knowledge of God and His Word | Heart: the personal connection from scripture | Hands: a missional mindset

HEAD

In Revelation 6, John’s vision includes Jesus opening the seven seals. Each seal involves separating good and evil. We call this judgment. As we live on earth, God wants us to choose Him. It can be scary to read about the weapons and earthquakes in Revelation 6, but it is most important to know that if we love God and choose to serve Him, we do not have anything to fear. With the opening of the fifth seal, God shows us that it may not always be easy to stand up for Jesus. After opening the scroll, each person who was hurt for standing up for Jesus was given a white robe. God took care of them! Standing up for Jesus, even when it’s hard is WORTH IT. When you stand up for Jesus, not only do you get to spend eternity with the Lord, but you also show other people God’s love so they can join you in Heaven.

HEART

Sometimes standing up for Jesus can be hard. It may be hard to pray for somebody who’s been mean to you or to tell somebody that you make good choices because you love Jesus. When you stand up for Jesus and tell somebody about Him, you are inviting someone to join you in Heaven. Wouldn’t it be amazing to have your classmate standing beside you in Heaven?

HANDS

Talk to somebody about some ways you can stand up for Jesus in your school. Tell that person about why that might be hard, but why it’s important.

Prayer: Lord, some of the words in Revelation are scary to read. Thank You for loving me and telling me that I do not have to fear. If I love You, You will take care of me. Help me tell other people about You so they don’t have anything to fear either. Amen.
