A devastating assault on Gen Z, a growing battle for men, and a raging war that 1/3 of all people fight. Can we really have victory over anxiety? Anxiety is running rampant, but we don’t have to surrender in defeat. Jesus won the victory over sin, shame, and death when He walked out of the grave, and His victory continues to flow out of the grave and into our lives today. In 1 Peter 5, we find battle plans to defeat anxiety in the midst of our struggle. As we humble ourselves, trust in God's goodness, and throw our anxiety on Him, we can begin to find victory in every season.

Hey, welcome to church. We're so excited that you're here. My name is Blake. I'm part of the team here at Venture energy catch that last piece. I don't know if our other locations we're able to catch in on the baptisms.

I think that you were but one of the my favorite things about what just happened was that the Eagles were put very close to par with Jesus in that and so like you said one was Ole Miss one was state, but they both loved the Eagles and they both love Jesus. That's that's the way it should be my friends. I just want you to know how that is my golden eagle fans in the room with me today. Hey, we're so excited that you're here and we have this honor and this privilege every week to gather together. And I think there's no better part of what God is doing than through the stories that we get to hear every Sunday through baptism.

Don't you agree, isn't it? Just incredible to see what God and something that the Lord said to me just the second ago that I want to share with you is this is that the way that that the Gospel that this message of Jesus that people come to know love and follow Jesus the way that that is accomplished. Through our communities is through your stories. It's through your stories. It's through what God is doing in your life.

Not what's happening up here on this platform not what's happening just on Sunday mornings, but in the everyday Monday Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday actions of Life how God is moving through you and so one thing that we want to do going forward in this Easter season is we want to hear your stories. It's not just about what's a little group of people but all of us at all of our locations, we have this thing right now on the Venture Church app called share your story and we would love for you to share your story with us. And I would ask you this. How is God moving in your life. There's some prompts in there and I'm telling you every one of us have a story.

Maybe you don't think it's good enough. Maybe you don't think like your story is worth telling I promise you it is if Jesus has done something in your life. I want to encourage you to tell your story. Maybe you're saying Blake. I don't have a story.

That's okay. You can say I don't have a story yet and we can change that today something about today. Maybe your Story begins today. Whatever that is. I would invite you go ahead and share your story sometime this week so we can start seeing how God is moving across all of our campuses and online and through you to help lead our cities and our communities to know love and follow Jesus now, we're in this series right now called Victory and I'm excited.

I don't know about you guys, but behind the excited for the Easter season, I think that Easter is going to be amazing and I can't Wait to be in a room together where we were worshiping in just a couple of weeks at Easter adventure and we kind of got a sneak peek of that today. And then it was just a powerful experience so far last week Pastor Jeff unpacked victory over Temptation. I don't know about you guys, but I was convicted and encouraged by that message at the same time where he was starting to talk about right our disordered desires and our appetites how they can so often overcome us if we don't keep them in line, if we don't use the Gospel use the story of Scripture to keep our appetites in check and I was very convicted by that especially on Tuesday when I was watching Netflix with my bag of Lay's potato chips. The Lord just convicted me. So how to put them away and I went instead of the family size.

I went for the individual pack. So you'd be proud of me I was able to do that. But today I'm really excited that we're gonna continue in this because here's what we know. We know that Victory in Jesus what we just saying about Victory in Jesus is already ours. Over everything that we face in our lives as soon as Jesus stepped out of the Tomb as soon as he was risen from the grave the moment the stone was rolled away.

Jesus stepped out and victory stepped out and it's yours as well. You have victory in Christ. And so this series the whole purpose is to unpack some areas some Lanes in our life where we can claim victory over and so the thing that we're gonna be talking about today is probably the one that dark spot that not a lot of people want to go to quite honestly, it's not a place that I wanted to go today because it's such a major part of our culture and that's victory over anxiety. Now I know as soon as I say the word anxiety that many of us automatically are our bodies have a response to that word. And I believe that that word has been used a lot.

It's very charged in our culture it very much is but we're not here to talk about anxiety today. We're here to talk about Jesus. Amen. We're here to talk about how Jesus conquers this and yes, I do believe that he can conquer it and he has already done so that Victory is ours now. We don't like to talk about this.

It's a place that we don't want to go to mostly because it's such a dark spot many of our Lives of mine include and you'll have to forgive me every illustration that I make is gonna be like a Disney reference because of a four year old daughter. So please forgive me but it's kind of like that moment in The Lion King, right? We're sending them and Foster sitting at the top of proud Rock and he says everything the light touches my kingdom and then symbols like yeah, but what about this little place over here and he's like, no you can never go there. That's so sometimes how we treat this topic of anxiety and depression in the faith when we talk about it in churches. It's the place that we don't want to go to but today gonna go there and here's the reason why because if all the battles in our culture of all the battles that we are facing on so many fronts in our lives anxiety and depression is one of the number one.

I'll tell you one. One in three people in our culture will be diagnosed with some form of anxiety in their lifetime one in three thirty three percent. And a lot of people would say yeah, that's that's true. But don't women struggle with anxiety more Blake. Isn't that true?

Yeah, if you would look at the statistic one, it's about twice as likely for a female to to experience anxiety than men and be a diagnosed with some form of anxiety, but I would suggest that it's not just that twice as many women have anxiety. I would say that it's twice as many women are talking about it because here's the thing since covid. If you look at Google search data. This phrase the topic. Anxiety symptoms in men has risen by a factor of 13.

Just since covid. Men are starting to ask the question. What does it look like for me to have anxiety? This is a very common topic for many of us, but that's not even the craziest statistics when we get down to gen Z this newest generation 15 to 25 year olds. The ones that are entering into the workforce right now genzy.

You are saying this that 90% of gen Z have had some kind of physical or psychological response to stress. In the past year Not only that but 70% of those same generation of gen Z say that the greatest battle in their life and in their friend group is anxiety and depression. It's a foe and it's a big one. And today we're going to talk about how we can find victory over anxiety. I'm gonna be honest with you.

I don't feel adequate. To be the one to present this to you today. I don't feel like this should be my role. I don't feel like I should be the one step and I don't have any letters to my name. I don't have any credentials.

I'm not a doctor. I'm not a psychologist. I'm not a counselor. I'm not any of those things so you can take my opinion and you can chunk it out the window. What we're going to do today is we're going to look at the word of God.

We're going to go straight to Scripture. We're going to look at two verses in First Peter chapter 5 that I believe can give us a battle plan for overcoming Anxiety and our life. So anything that Blake says throw it out the window, but if we read it in Scripture, we're going to take it to heart. We're gonna step firm into it First Peter chapter 5 because here's one thing I want you to know. I'm not the just have more faith kind of guy.

Right like you have people telling us all the time and I I used up I used to do this. I'll be like man. You're just gonna have more faith right like be more confident in God and this kind of things. That's not what you say when you're toilets broken. Right like you don't say man.

You believe in miracles, don't you? No, you call a plumber and here's something that I believe truly. I don't believe that medicine and Scripture or mutually exclusive things. Okay if you were struggling today. If you feel like you're in the darkest season of your life and anxiety has got its grips on you and you don't know where to turn and there is a physiological response in your life hear me say right now emphatically seek out help.

Find a doctor. Find medicine find a counselor a Christian counselor that can help walk you through there's these Seasons because I believe that with great counseling and great care because God is the great physician right? He is the one that created everything he has also the one that has created great doctors and great medical professionals and great psychologists Christian counselors that can help you walk. He has formed them and uniquely gifted them to help you walk through a season that you need to walk through. Of things are not mutually exclusive.

Okay doesn't make you a bad Christian. If you seek out medical help, in fact, it can help position you to receive what we're about to talk about even better give you a platform and a foundation. So I'm not to just have more faith kind of guy. I believe these two things are not mutually exclusive, but I do want us to answer the questions today. Can we really have victory over anxiety?

Can it really happen? And I would suggest. We can and not just that we can but Victory is already yours in Christ Jesus. So here's what I want to do. I go to First Peter.

Chapter 5 starting in verse 6. And this is what it says two verses we're gonna sit here today these two verses the first verse helps unpack a mentality of mindset that we can have going into this battle in the second verse gives us a tactical things that we can do practicalities that we can take with us into our lives and this is the simply humble yourself therefore under God's Mighty hand. That he may lift you up. In due time then verse 7 cast all of your anxiety on him because he cares for you. He cares for you.

Can we pray together father? I pray that you would take this word allow it to take root in our hearts that every other word that there's not from you would be moved to the side and that it would be centrally only focused on you and your word to us help us to receive it help us to apply it in our lives so we can experience the victory over anxiety in our lives. We love you Lord since Jesus name we pray and everybody said Amen. Hey, so I was trying to think about a life experience that could kind of go along with the feeling of anxiety because there's a physiological thing that takes place. I mean many of us.

We we know this feeling where the hand the hair starts to stick up on the back of our necks. We feel the pressure, right? It can feel like our our breathing is constricted all the sudden Life starts moving. A whole lot faster, so I was trying to think about a moment in life a life experience for that was a similar feeling happened to me. And so I was taken back several years ago.

I worked at this Camp between my freshman and sophomore year at Southern and so I went off to Texas and was at this camp and my goal was to be like I was there to play guitar be a counselor and like watch dishes that was my job. But when I got there they were like, you know what you would be really great at being a lifeguard. What no, I've never been a life girl. They're like no, no dude just come a week early and you've got it. We'll teach you everything that we need to know.

So I get there a week early and I get to the pool. It's this big pool 15 feet deep down at the bottom and all the list of things in this big old like marine sergeant like comes up. He's gonna train us to be a lifeguard and so here I am sitting here and he's like, where's Houston I was like, that's me. And so you say all right in the pool. So I get in I jump in the pool and we're sitting there and so we're doing this test the where we have to test how long we can hold our breath And so I was like, oh this isn't a problem, you know got a lot of air I can let it out.

You know, we can we can do this and I'll hold my breath for a while and they want you to sink to the bottom right let out all the breath that you have sink to the bottom and stay there as long as you can no problem. So I'm sitting there I'm treating water and they're like, all right, like let out all the air you have I said, okay. Everything I got. And I go from my right here in the water to light right here. The problem with me being a lifeguard.

Is that I am very brilliant. And I was not going under. I said I like no really like let out all the air you got I don't got no more. There ain't nothing left. It's like no worries Blake.

I got this I got this figured out so they had this stack of rubber bricks over here that he would grab a break. He was like, hey just hold on to this brick. It'll sink you down to the bottom and you're good to go Roger that so I'm sitting there. He puts the brick right here and I go from right here. It's light right here.

Okay, no worries. Get another brick stack it up. Again. There's another one on this. So right here.

It's like right here after seven bricks. I finally make my way down to the bottom of this pool. And sit there and I thought start thinking to myself man here. I am was seven bricks. No air down at the bottom of a pool and I didn't even want to be a lifeguard.

I'm just sitting there thinking and all the sudden it came on me is like if I can't get rid of these bricks. There's no way I'm getting back up to the top because they have anchored me down. How often is it in our own lives where we feel the same thing where we were something happens. We feel like we're Treading Water really nicely right life is good. We're treading water life feels good.

We're swimming in the water's warm. It's all this kind of good stuff and all the sudden something happens in our life that triggers us and we lose all of the air that we have. It's like a gut punch. Every amount of air leaves our body but not only that because that's the physiological response. That's the the normal side of things in our body.

We we begin to take that and there's something that happens and triggers anxiety and where they will lose all the air that's bad enough. But what the enemy wants to do in your life is he wants to take every uncontrollable situation and he wants to place it on your life just like a rubber brick and he wants to take every bad relationship and he wants to bring back the thing that happened 13 years ago while you're in this moment. He wants to take it and stick it Brick by Brick by Brick by Brick until you have sunk to the bottom and there is no way out. Today what we're going to do through these two verses is we unpack first Peters. We're going to get rid of the bricks and we're gonna get our breath back.

We're gonna get our breath back that breath of the holy spirit inside of our lungs. Once again, you know the feeling when God Is So charged up in your life. It's so he's so animated your spirit where you get your breath back. I believe somewhere in all of our locations somebody needs their breath back today. So, where do we begin?

We begin with the very first phrase in First Peter chapter 5 says humble yourselves. Humble yourselves now if I'm thinking about how to overcome and find victory over anxiety in my life humbling myself is not my first choice. I'm gonna be honest with you take a nap maybe eat a good meal. Go on a vacation all of those feel like really great options for me to start off if I want to overcome anxiety in my life, but that's not where the Lord starts he begins with a simple phrase. He says this he says humble yourself.

Now we have to think about who Peter's writing to at this point who is writing to is a group of people. He calls pilgrims that are Exile. They are exiled out of their homes. They have nowhere to go they are facing persecution and they have a lot going on in their lives if anybody's got pressure. It's the people that Peter's riding to And so you would think that Peter would say, hey man the way to overcome what you're experiencing right now is to just take a break and that's not what he says.

He says humble yourselves. This leads to one of the biggest things that we see is that in our lives most of the time when we're facing something that seems insurmountable in our life. The biggest impediment to our freedom is us thinking that I've got this. Those three words can keep us chained down and with bricks in our hands at the bottom of the pool for the rest of our lives thinking I've got this. Have you ever said that to yourself?

Have you ever given yourself over to those thoughts? I mean I got this. Man, yeah, things are things a little stressful right now, but it's no big deal. I've got this no problems. No worries Hakuna Matata, right?

Nothing is wrong. Now I want to talk to all the men in the room for a second because we said something at the beginning where says women are twice as likely to experience the anxiety diagnosis as men but I really do believe that there's something stirring in men that were starting to realize that it's not just about twice as many women having anxiety. It's just twice as many that are actually talking about it. Men at all of our locations and in the room today, I want to can we have an honest conversation for second because I am chief of Sinners Among Us. If anybody has ever gone down the I've got this train, it's me.

But sometimes we have to get to a place where we recognize that we don't got this. Where it feels like we can keep him. We just whitenuckle everything together. We can just keep it going keep the Train on the tracks. Everything's fine.

Everything's fine. No worries all the way around and all the while we're treating our families and our co-workers and everyone in our immediate circle like we're Clark Griswold before we got our bonus. We're treating everybody with just a little bit a little twinge. Of anger a little twinge of Venom and bitterness it's seeping out. Can we all get to a point where first Peter says will we recognize that we can't do this alone?

We're not strong enough. But this is the beautiful thing about this Scripture. Is that we get to a place where we humble ourselves as a God. I can't but you can experiencing Freedom begins with opening up our hands Saying God I can't do this. I don't have this in me.

I don't have what it takes to go down this road on my own. I don't have what it takes to overcome these feelings and these emotions and everything that's going on in my life these bad relationships and then my work and I can't I just can't do it God and when you start to open up your hands. He starts taking the bricks out himself. Humble yourselves. This isn't about a place of putting you in your place.

It's about recognizing that he is God, and I'm not. So then we get to the second thing because it's not just about humbling ourselves and saying God I can't do this but we have to Humble ourselves through a place. There's a place that we're going is we're overcoming and finding victory in our lives. The second thing is we have to Humble ourselves under God's Mighty hand. There's actually somewhere we're going now.

What is the mighty hand of God? And what does it mean in our lives? How do we begin to apply that into our lives? We have to recognize that. Yes, God's hand is powerful.

He's a powerful hand. He is doing something he is moving something. He's got a mighty hand that is powerful, but it is also pierced. Because for everybody in the room, there may be a few people here that's listening in today. That's just new on this journey of Faith.

That's new to following Jesus and when you hear somebody say, you have to humble yourself under God's Mighty hand immediately you're taking back to recess where you're holding them one of the magnifying glass over an ant How many of us have the same feeling of God like I can't humble myself under God's Mighty his mighty hand because he's not he's out to get me. He's up to punish me. He's gonna use that to to steer me and to to force me into a different direction because he's God and he's gonna zap me because you don't know my story. Can I tell you that that is not the mighty hand that we're talking about. It is a powerful hand it is a mighty hand, but that hand is also pierced.

Meaning this Is the same hand that is over everything the same Sovereign God is over everything didn't see fit to leave you in the situation that you find yourself in. But he came down as a human. Gave his life freely for you in the person of Jesus. And now forevermore there is a savior who is at the right hand of God that's looking down on his creation and saying hey. He's mine.

He's mine. That's mine. Give it to me because I've experienced Jesus says I have experienced everything that you have gone through and I have claimed victory over everything that you will ever experience in your life. So what we do with the mighty hand as we remember We remember what God has done in our lives. And in due time we see in verse 3 and do time in verse 6, he will lift you up.

So we remember the past where we keep our memory on what God has done in the past. He has done amazing Mighty powerful things. But then in due time we remember that this battle that we're facing will end. In due time, he will lift you up. So we keep our minds on the past and on the future Revelation 21.

I love this. It says that there will be a day. In the new creation when we are all standing singing praises to God in heaven. There will be no more tears. There will be no more sorrow, there will be no more pain.

There will be no more hurting. We will be locking eyes with our savior and he will wipe every tear from our eyes. So if you were in the middle of a dark season right now you have nowhere else to turn look up. Because we're headed somewhere. You're not stuck.

There's a destination for you. For those of us who have trusted and placed our faith in Christ when we look and it feels like everything is Bleak. We're at the bottom of the pool. There is a destination ahead of you. He's reaching out his hand and he's saying I will lift you up in due time.

Does that mean he's gonna do it right now? No, does that mean he's gonna take it all the way in this instant. No, but we can be confident and sure of this that he who began a good work and you will bring it to completion. At the day of Christ Jesus In due time, he will lift you up. So we see in verse 6 the mindset that we have we begin to unpack.

So when we're facing these moments if we want to get our Victory if we want to experience victory in our lives, we humble ourselves position ourselves into a place of thank God you are good. You can do this. I cannot because this is how I know you are powerful. You are Mighty you have your hand over my life and you were guiding me and directing me to Heaven into a place where there's no more sorrow. And I trust in that.

So now what do we do? We get to verse 7 now. I love verse 7 it says cast all your anxieties on him. Cast all your anxieties on him now. If you're like me and you're reading this first you ask yourself, what does that mean?

How do we how do we cast our anxieties like that? Sounds great like but how do I practically like on Tuesday when I wake up and the email and the inboxes there and my friends they want to talk about something that happened last week and all of these things and my parents my relationship with my parents isn't great. And when all of this comes, how do I cast my anxiety on him? I asked myself the same question and I was reminded of a Time several years ago. My grandparents had this beautiful backyard that had hundreds of pine trees.

I mean, it's gorgeous. It was just beautiful place. Until Katrina When Katrina came through in 2005, it wiped pretty much every Pine Tree on that property down. And so we spent the next year cutting those pine trees into movable pieces and logs and we had to haul them off. Now, I remember that during that summer.

We had gotten everything cut and we were gonna build this big bonfire. My grandfather was like, all right, Blake come on, we're gonna put it on the trailer. We're gonna build a big bonfire. We're gonna just burn it all get rid of it at one time. So we've got a stack it and so we get over there and you gotta think about these palm trees.

They're pretty big and so we're getting everything getting Grandma the limbs and trying to put it on the trailer and we finally would get it over to where we were gonna do the bonfire. I remember me. I was the young gun at the time and so I would try to grab the the little tree trunks and stuff not drag it through and try to throw it up on the pile, but I couldn't so I just have to like gently roll it. It's like roll it over and my grandfather came out and he was like, this is just a well placed grouping of like stumps. There's no way that we're gonna burn all of this in a pot.

It's not in a pile. You've got to learn the proper technique. To actually you can't and this is how we said it Jones County people. You'll get this. He said you just got a chunk it.

Just chunk it. I was like, what does that mean Papa? So he came up he put He put a part of it on the side and he grabbed it by the bottom and heaved it up onto the top of the pile and that was the difference where I had just been placing here taking it from the bottom and heaved it if you want to talk about casting your anxieties on Jesus. You got a chunk it. You've got to heave it you've got to take the things in your life and not gently ride a nice little note.

It's a God it would be so nice if you would take these things from my life and if I can just give you this and just hand it over to you. That'll be that'd be great if you have if you have time for no, he's saying cast your anxieties on me. I have the capacity to carry the weight that you can't you've got to heave it. You've got to chunk it on to me. So when you encounter those times and you're in the darkest season of your life, the enemy wants you to stay down and stay away.

But you said because I trust in Jesus because of who he is. I'm going to cast my anxieties on him. I'm gonna take him I'm gonna throw him. How do we do that? We build muscles towards it.

We build an ability to do it. We start to move in a direction to where we say. We're getting more and more able. To cast our anxiety. It's just like that summer when I started throwing those Limbs and those tree stumps I wasn't able to do that much but over the course of the summer after one after the other after the other after the other I started building strength and by the end of it.

I just started chunking them up there. It was no big deal at the end of the summer. It's the same way in our lives. If you want some practical ways. To begin casting and heaving your anxiety onto Christ.

It begins in worship. I don't know about you, but worship is a weapon. Worship When We Gather in this space, we are testifying and telling the devil that he ain't got no place here. We're saying this city our communities the places that we live in our homes and in our families, he has no place because we can't do this, but he can and when I sing Victory in Jesus, I mean it worship is a weapon. The second thing that you can do is community.

Am I going through the strategy of our church? Yes, I am. Because this is why it's important. When we invest in community, we get people around us that help us to chunk. It's a heave our anxieties.

We don't have to do it alone. I love Galatians 6 9 this is bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. In community and in House Church, we get around a group of people that help us to become more of ourselves and to grow in our ability to do that. We serve others. That's another way that we practice and build the muscle of casting our anxiety on him when we get into points.

That's what love your neighbor this week is so important. It doesn't just change the lives of other people it changes us. It allows us to be connected to something much bigger than what's happening in our own lives and our perspective lifts, and we start to realize oh God. You're doing something. You're moving.

Cast all your anxieties on him because he cares for you. It's the last phrase that we see. He cares for you. If you don't remember anything else about this message today? Remember this the God of the universe the one who spun galaxies into motion the one who calls the planets to orbit around the Sun the one who created cells and DNA the one that is so big and so intricate it deals in the massive and the minut he cares for you.

Maybe you don't believe that maybe you said like I'm in a season that you just don't understand. And there's nowhere for me to go and I don't experience God anywhere. I don't know where he is, but I've asked them to take this away and he is not taking it away. I want to share with you one more. Section of Scripture that comes from second Corinthians chapter 12, this is Paul speaking.

He was also given something. Synchrinthians 12 starting in verse 7. This is I was given a thorn in my flesh a messenger of Satan to torment me. In three times. I pleaded a bagged with the Lord to take it away from me, but he said to me.

My grace is sufficient for you. My power is made perfect in your weakness. Therefore. I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses. So that Christ's power May rest on me.

That is why for Christ's sake a delight in weaknesses and insults in hardships and persecutions and in difficulties for when I am weak then I am strong. You see the ultimate understanding of victory over anxiety comes when we recognize that we can find victory in our anxiety. In the dark spaces of Our Lives Because on this side of Eternity are we still gonna feel the prickling of the hairs on our on the back of our neck? We still gonna feel the pressure in the waiter those physiological responses. Still going to come in our life.

Yes. Yes. Other than what God can do and God can do anything. There's nothing that he can't do but he can also do this. He can also showcase his strength in your dark moments.

He's with you in it. That's the beauty of what we celebrate at Easter. Is that God didn't stay far away? But he came down into the mess. He came down into the darkness and he gave his life so that we could find Victory.

You can have Victory. It is already yours in Christ Jesus. Believe that he cares for you. Take steps to cast your anxieties on to him. We're going to move into a time of response that all of our locations we're gonna ask that everyone would just bow their head for just a moment.

Close your eyes. Maybe for you. This is a this is new. You've never had an opportunity to to step into a place of responding into what God is calling. You to do in your life, Maybe?

You just don't believe it and that's okay. Because God is still working in your life. Even when we don't believe it. I've found that in the times where I doubt him the most isn't the times where he's working the most. Lean into it.

The enemy's gonna try to Rob this from you to take this from you, but there are things there are things that he wants to speak to you even now. Even now he wants to move in your life. So I want to ask this question. This is all of our locations. Maybe some of our our team will be watching our prayer team will be watching at all of our locations, but maybe for you.

You're struggling with anxiety, you're struggling with the pressure you're struggling with a with a dark season. You just have no clue where to turn or where to go. But the question that keeps coming on into your mind is does he really care for me? Does he really care for me? Because it feels like he's distant.

Would you be honest in this moment and maybe at all of our locations? Would you just be honest and slip your hand up? And say I feel like God's really far. Thank you for your bravery. Thank you for your willingness to say it.

Want to give everybody an opportunity? Trust this that he cares for you. So when we come down into our response time today, there's a few things that you can do maybe for some of us we need to come we need to pray with someone. We'll have our prayer team available and If you raise your hand and you moved into that space I said I just I feel distant from God. I don't feel like he's there and I need help.

I can't do this find a prayer team member to pray with you today. Don't do this at all. Don't fight this alone. Maybe for some of us we need to come down to the Cross as we have crosses available at all of our locations maybe for you. You need to come take whatever it is and you need to practice casting your anxiety onto Christ by writing it down on a piece of paper and nailing it to the Cross as a visual way as a visual representation that God is moving in your life and he's doing something new.

Blessing God. I trust you. I'm casting it. I'm heaving it on you. Maybe you need to reflect on what Christ has done.

Through the cross and his resurrection by taking the Lord's Supper we have that available as well. Whatever you need to do today do it. See how God wants to move in your life and help you find victory. It's already yours. In Jesus, let's pray father.

We love you. Thank you for this time. Father I pray that you move in our hearts that you changes. Help us to see how we humble ourselves. Under your powerful hand.

You have a powerful hand. That you would do something new in our lives that we would cast our anxiety onto you trusting that you care for us. Then it wouldn't just be about finding victory over anxiety. Finally that's coming. There's a day where anxiety is dead.

It is done. But now Lord help us to find victory in the midst of it. So that our story can be a testimony to others. So we could put our trust fully in you we love you Lord, Jesus name we pray. Amen.
